The recently retired Australind train, which served the Perth to Bunbury route for 37 years, is currently stored in Pinjarra. This historic train is located in a siding at Pinjarra, an area known for its collection of heritage railway items. The Australind train service was suspended in November 2023 due to the shutdown of the Armadale line for upgrading and the pending retirement of the current rolling stock.
